Nellie Mae Wood

Mrs. Nellie Mae Shepard Wood, 81, of 130 Nicholson Road, Rockingham NC died Monday September 15, 2008 at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Wood was born March 3rd, 1927 a daughter of the late James and Sallie Parker Shepard. She was preceded in death by her husband John Wood. She was a member of Roberdell Baptist Church. She was a spinner in the textile industry. Graveside services will be held Wednesday September 17, 2008 at 11:00 am at Northam Cemetery with the Rev. James Quick officiating. She is survived by two, sisters Flora Brown of Hamlet and Mabel Meacham of St. Paul. The family will receive friends Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home of Rockingham from 6:00-8:00 pm.
