Mary Caulder

Mrs. Mary Britt Caulder, 85, of 151 Thompson Farm Rd., Rockingham died Monday, September 22, 2008 at Britthaven of Hamlet. She was born May 3, 1923, a daughter of the late Ira and Blennie Saunders Britt. Mrs. Caulder was a member of Heritage Baptist Church. She was retired from J. P. Stevens, and then worked with Thompson Sunny Acres Farm. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 24th at Heritage Baptist Church with Rev. Quinton Covington officiating. Entombment will follow in Richmond Memorial Park. Surviving are a daughter, Dianne C. Thompson and husband Billy of Rockingham; a sister, Georgia Smith of Lexington; two grandchildren, Tim Thompson and wife Valerie and Matt Thompson and wife Pam, all of Rockingham; four great grandchildren, Zachary and Tylor Thompson, and Cecily and Olivia Thompson. Her husband, Auburn Caulder, and a sister, Juanita Lovin McCormick, preceded Mrs. Caulder in death. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm prior to the service at the church.
