Doris McCormick Paul

Doris McCormick Paul, 83, of Hamlet, passed away Friday, September 19, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Paul was born November 2, 1930 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Samuel Oscar and Ada Maness McCormick. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and had been employed with Sandhurst Hosiery and JP Stevens Co. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Paul and a daughter, Debra Paul Haulk. Surviving are her children, Leon Paul of Rockingham, Linda Kay Setzer of Hamlet; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Lillie Taylor of Rockingham, Mary Robinson of Charlotte and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 3 pm Monday at Richmond County Memorial Park with Rev. Robby Caudle and Rev. Robby Stewart officiating. The family will see friends from 5 to 7 pm Sunday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Richmond County/Anson County Hospice, 1119 N.
