Janie Lou Mabe

Janie Lou Mabe, 60, of Ellerbe, passed away Monday, September 22, 2014 at her home. Janie was born April 18, 1954 in Richmond County, a daughter of Lucille Fulp Mabe and the late Dewey Mabe. She attended Saron Baptist Church and had been employed in home health care. Surviving are her daughter, Angela Driggers and husband Brian of West End; grandson, Ian Driggers; mother, Lucille Mabe of Ellerbe; and sisters, Pat Marshburn of Pinehurst, Becky Manshack of Polkton, Norma Williams of Chocowinity, and Tammy Wright of Ellerbe. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Friday at Carter Funeral Home, Ellerbe Chapel with Rev. Wayne Luck and Rev. Donnie Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Ellerbe Cemetery. The family will see friends from 12:45 to 1:45 pm Friday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe and at other times at the Wright home, 786 Green Lake Rd.
