Michael Lee Johnson

Michael Lee "Mike" Johnson, 61, of Lady Mary Ln., Rockingham, died Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at Rockingham Manor. Mike was born September 18, 1947 in Richmond County, a son of the late Betty Goodwin Andrews. He was a member of Sweet Haven Church, graduate of Rockingham High School and had retired from Clark Equipment Company. Mike loved to play Santa Claus and was a fixture at Walmart for many years. Surviving are his adopted family, Martha, Roger and Margie Byrd and all the extended Byrd family. A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at Sweet Haven Church with Rev. Mitchell Roller officiating. Interment will be held privately.
