Mack Dewey Smith, III

Mack Dewey Smith, III, 53, of Rockingham, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital in Rockingham. Dewey was born October 8, 1961 in Richmond County, a son of Mary Ellen Slack Smith and the late Mack Dewey Smith, Jr.. He was self employed in home remodeling. Surviving are his mother, Mary Ellen Smith of the home; brothers, Michael Smith and Robert Smith, both of Rockingham; sisters, Diane Masterson of Rockingham and Lisa Pressley of Hamlet; special nephew, Bryson Wade Smith of Rockingham and several other nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Dewey’s life will be held at 3 pm Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham with Wesley Williams officiating. The family will see friends following the service and at other times at the home. Memorials may be made to the Samaritan Colony, 136 Samaritan Dr., Rockingham, NC 28379
