Catherine Janelle Mills

Catherine Janelle Mills, 73, of Charlotte, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2014 at her home. Janelle was born May 23, 1941 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Noah Hassell and Ina Jones Mills. She was of the Baptist faith, and had retired from Owens-Illinois in Charlotte. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Lacy Frank Mills, Billy Wayne Mills, George Thomas Mills and Sara Evon Lefler. Surviving are her sister, L. Faye Fetter (Jack) of Ellerbe; brothers, Robert “Bob” Mills of Hamlet, J. Leonard Mills (Louise) of Matthews and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11 am Saturday at Old Northam Cemetery in Rockingham with Rev. Clint Lewey officiating. The family will see friends following the service. Memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation in Charlotte.
