Daryl Craig Speight

Daryl Craig Speight, 50, of Rockingham, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at his home. Daryl was born April 12, 1964 in Richmond County a son of Brady Francis Speight and the late Myrtle Johnson Speight. He had been employed in construction at Carolina Beach, later with JP Stevens Company and has recently been caregiver for his father. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Dawn Speight. Surviving are his father, Brady Speight of the home; siblings, Douglas Speight of Bennettsville, Denise Phillips of Wadesboro, John Dayle Speight of Hamlet; and several nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate his life will be held at 11 am Saturday in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Taylor officiating. Inurnment will follow in Eastside Cemetery. The family will see friends from 10 to 10:45 am Saturday at the funeral home and at other times at the home.
