Mary Elizabeth Clarke

Mary Elizabeth Lampley Clarke, 77 of Rockingham passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Sandhills Regional Medical Center. She was born in Richmond county on November 6, 1937 the daughter of the late McKinnon Lampley and Julia Webb Lampley. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Clarke, Sr. Surviving are daughters, Kathy Arnold(Jimmy) of Rockingham, Judy Parker(James) of Sunset Beach, NC, Linda Quick(Tim) of Hamlet, NC; son, John Robert Clarke, Jr.(Susan) of Belews Creek, NC; brothers, Edward Lampley and Odom Lampley; six Grandchildren, Deanna Pressley and husband Phil, Heather Arnold, John R. Clarke, III, Autumn Troxler, Rebecca Stephan, Savannah Quick; and six great- grandchildren, Lauren Tedder, Madeleine Pressley, Grace Pressley, Avery Pressley, Timberly Stephan and Adelyn Stephan. Mrs. Clarke worked in textiles and was retired from Sara Lee. She was a member and attended Mt. Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church. Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at Mt. Beulah Pentecostal Holiness with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
