Dianne Ledwell Phifer

Ms. Kathy Dianne Ledwell Gainey Phifer, 55 of 128 Broad Leaf Drive, Hamlet died Monday, November 24, 2008 at Sandhills Regional Medical Center. Ms. Phifer was born April 4, 1953 in Scotland County a daughter of the late Billy G. and Frankie Venable Ledwell. She was a member of Freedom Baptist Church, a graduate of Rohanen High School Class of 71, and had worked at Sara Lee Hosiery for 15 years before becoming disabled. Funeral services will be held Friday November 28, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Freedom Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Rippy and Pastor Ronnie McLean officiating. Interment will follow in the family cemetery. Surviving are her son Brandon Phifer of Hamlet, two daughters Donna Gainey and Rebecca Deaver both of Hamlet and their father Donnie Gainey of Supply, her Step-Father Walter Shore , one brother Gene Ledwell II of Lumberton and one sister Judy Ledwell Gwynn of Raleigh. Grandchildren Keonia Wall, Jaylynn Sturdivant, C. Logan Deaver, Kalub Williams. Nephews Gene Perkins, Mickeal Perkins, Robert Morris, Billy Gene Ledwell III, Jamie Ledwell. Nieces Lisa Grubb, and Beth Perkins Talley, and a loving friend Jessie C Goins The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at her daughters houses at 132 Broad Leaf Drive and 140 Broad Leaf Drive in Hamlet.
