Susan May Glennon

Susan May Hoover Glennon, 62, of Hamlet, passed away Friday, February 6, 2015 at her home. Susan was born December 14, 1952 in Afragola, Italy, a daughter of the late George J. and Margaret Loschack Hoover. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Rockingham and had worked as a secretary and bookkeeper. Surviving are her husband Rev. Denny Glennon of the home; daughters, Heather Mabe of Hamlet, Katie McFayden and husband Tim of Hamlet; grandchildren, Faith, Grace and Hope McFayden; brothers, George “Skippy” Hoover, Jr., John Hoover, Bobby Hoover, all of Winchester, VA, Timmy Hoover of Florida and a sister, Margaret “Pinky” Hoover of Winchester, VA. A service to celebrate Susan’s life will be held at 11 am Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Rockingham with Rev. Mike Sykes and Rev. Allison Farrah officiating. The family will greet friends following the service and at other times at the home, 254 Scotland County Line Road, Hamlet.
