Floyd Parker

Mr. Floyd Parker, 77, of 603 Gore Dr., Rockingham died Sunday, November 30, 2008 at First Health Richmond Memorial Hospital in Rockingham. Mr. Parker was born July 18, 1931 in Richmond County, a son of the late Redman and Mamie Coward Parker. Mr. Parker was a member of Rockingham Wesleyan Church and was employed as a driver for Griffin Motors. Mr. Parker was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Parker. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at the Rockingham Wesleyan Church with the Rev Phillip Huber and Rev. Henry Williams officiating. Interment will follow at McLean Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Ellerbe. Surviving is his wife, Onnie Webb McIntyre Parker of the home; sons, Charles Parker and Dale Parker of Hamlet; daughter, Jean Wright of Hamlet; sister, Jenny Hucks of Charlotte; and step daughters, Dorothy Watts of Rockingham and Joyce Bass of Robbins. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM Wednesday at the church and other times at 170 Mill St., Rockingham. Memorials may be made to Rockingham Wesleyan Church, 618 N.
