Effie Lee Lundstrom Pickens

Effie Lee Lundstrom Pickens, 86, of Rockingham, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 12, 2015. She was born on August 21, 1928 a daughter of the late Curtis and Frances Lundstrom in Cairo, IL. Mrs. Pickens was a contract specialist with the Navy and was a member of First Assembly of God. Surviving are sons: John Pickens (Karen) Damascus MD, Michael Pickens (Debra)La Plata, MD, Christopher Pickens (Mary Ann) Crownsville, MD; daughter, Lauren Turner (Charles) of Rockingham, NC; sister Mary Long of Charleston, SC; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Curtis Lundstrom. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 2:00 pm at First Assembly of God with the Rev. Gene Alexander officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church from 1:00 pm -2:00 pm prior to the service Memorials may be made to First Assembly of God, 160 Clemmer Road, Rockingham, NC 28379.
