Walter Wayne Parrish

Walter Wayne Parrish, 65, of Rockingham, passed away Monday, April 6, 2015 at FirstHealth Hospice in Pinehurst. Mr. Parrish was born December 28, 1949 in Richmond County, a son of the late Nelson Willard and Annie Elizabeth Nolan Parrish. He had served his country in the US Navy and had retired from Men’s Name Brand Shoes in Rockingham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Willard Parrish, Jr.. Surviving are his wife, Patricia Clemions Parrish of the home; daughters, Joanie Webb (Bruce) of Rockingham, Marsha Austin of Rockingham; grandchildren, Joshua Webb, Elizabeth Webb, Calli Austin, Christopher Austin, Cassie Austin, Christopher Webb and Amber Lampley and a sister, Renee Cass of Greenville, SC. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Robby Caudle officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemtery. The family will see friends from 12:45 to 1:45 pm Wednesday at the church and at other times at the home.
