Larry Joseph Shankle

Larry Joseph Shankle, 70, of Pinebluff, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Larry was born May 20, 1944 in Multnomah County, Oregon a son of the late Albert and Catherine Broomes Shankle. He had been employed in NASCAR Racing, was the owner and operator of Shankle Engineering and A-1 Towing. Surviving are his wife Joyce Rainwater Shankle of Aberdeen; daughters, Lisa Joy Sharpe of Wilmington ,Katrina Weinstein (Ross) of Greensboro; the love of his life, his granddaughter, Brooklyn Joyce Weinstein; brothers, Frankie Shankle, Bobby Pileggi, Ronald Shankle; sisters, Janice Shankle , Robyn Young and his dogs, Harley and Blondie. A memorial service will be at 2 pm Sunday in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Joey Byrd officiating. The family will see friends following the service.
