Dorothy Taylor Patterson

Mrs. Dorothy Taylor Patterson, 85, of 1633 Hwy 177 Wallace S.C. died Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Morrison Manor in Laurinburg. Mrs. Patterson was born December 13, 1923 in Whitwell, Tennessee a daughter of the late Richard and Maggie Morrison Taylor. She was a member of Praise And Worship Church in Wallace S.C. She worked in the textile industry as a cloth inspector. Her husband William Patterson preceded her in death in November of 2002; her children Norma Jean, William Loyd and Ricky Patterson also preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Praise And Worship Church located beside Hyatt Auction House on Highway 177, with Pastor Eddie McLean and Brother Jim Angle officiating. Interment will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park. Mrs. Patterson is survived by one daughter Linda P. Hyatt and husband Howard of Wallace S.C and two sons Jerry Patterson and wife Debbie and Donald Patterson and wife Cheryl all of Hamlet N.C., 16 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00-8:00p.m. At Carter Funeral Home of Rockingham and at other time at the home of her daughter Linda Hyatt 1633 Hwy 177 Wallace S.C.
