Belton Junior Chavis

Belton Junior Chavis, 74, of Rockingham, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at his home. Mr. Chavis was born July 7, 1940 in Scotland County, a son of the late Belton D. and Pauline Jacobs Chavis. He had been employed as a security guard prior to his disability. Surviving are his children, Loretta Lynn Chavis of Laurinburg, Linda Marie Dunlap of Marston and 5 grandchildren. Graveside services will be at Noon Saturday at Northam Cemetery with Rev. Joe B. Wilkes, Jr. officiating. The family will see friends from 10:30 to 11:30 am Saturday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham.
