Kathleen Lathan

Mrs. Kathleen Herndon Carlisle Lathan, 81, of Rockingham, died Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at Hospice Haven of Rockingham. Mrs. Lathan was born June 30, 1924 in Scotland County, a daughter of the late Lonnie and Alma Sanderson Herndon. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Elmore Carlisle and Hubert Lathan. Surviving are her daughter, Gloria Mitchum of Pinehurst, granddaughters, Susan Swift and husband Arron of Asheboro, Sharon Parnell of Troy, great grandchildren, Brandon and Will Swift, Jessie Daniels, Johnny Walker and Dakota Parnell. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday at the Church of God of Prophecy, Flowers St. Rockingham with the Rev. Marshall Norris and Rev. Buford Lanter officiating. Burial will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will see friends from 6:30 – 8:00 PM Thursday at the church.
