Katherine McLean Cobb

Katherine McLean Cobb, 88, of 320 Lakeview Trail, Rockingham died Monday, December 29, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Cobb was born March 17, 1920 in Richmond County a daughter of the late Kenneth and Christian Williams McLean. She retired from J.C. Penney as a clerk. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur M. Cobb and brothers Alton, Lloyd, Charles and Tom McLean. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at East Rockingham United Methodist Church with Rev. Frank McQuage and Rev. Vann Floyd officiating. Interment will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park. She is survived by her daughter Sandy Cobb Riggan and husband Larry, Grandchildren Ryan and Lauren Riggan of Aberdeen, one brother Danny McLean and wife Barbara McLean of Rockingham, also survived by many special cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home.
