Peggy Parsons Meymandi

Peggy Parsons Meymandi Peggy Anne Parsons Meymandi, 84, of Rockingham, passed away, Saturday, April 25, at Hospice Haven. Peggy was born December 6, 1930 in Richmond County the daughter of the late Dudley Duncan Parsons and Irene Shelton Parsons. She was a nurse at Moore Regional Hospital and UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. Peggy was a loving and very positive person and loved growing her roses and lilies. Survivors are her husband, Afshin Meymandi of Rockingham, a daughter; Elaine Hill Gray (Joseph) of Ellerbe, a son; Charles Michael Hill of Ellerbe, grandchildren; Kimberly Anne Covington of Ellerbe, James Thomas Covington III of Pinebluff, Patrick Michael Holt (Lisa) of Greensboro, and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband George Walter Hill, Jr. Funeral services will be held 2pm, Tuesday, at Ellerbe First United Methodist Church with Rev. Elizabeth Polk officiating. Burial will follow at Ellerbe Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 12:45-1:45pm at the church prior to the service and other times at the home.
