Ellen Andrews Reedy

Ellen Roena Andrews Reedy, 67, of Rockingham, NC, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Hospice Haven in Rockingham. Mrs. Reedy was born March 31, 1948 in Alleghany County, the daughter of Robert Cleve and Laura Lee Smith Andrews. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Rockingham and a former member of West Side Independent Baptist Church in Sparta. For many years she was a medical staff coordinator for FirstHealth of the Carolinas and Sandhills Regional Medical Center. Following her retirement, she began teaching at Outreach Christian Academy. Surviving are her husband, Claud R. Reedy of the home; children, Michelle Kilborn (Dennis) of St. Matthews, SC, Shannon Bullock (Greg) of Kennett Square, PA, Tony Reedy (Angela) of Marion, VA; 13grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 6 pm Thursday at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Joey Byrd and Rev. Marvin Taylor officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the church. Graveside services will be at 1pm Friday at West Side Independent Baptist Church, in Sparta, NC with Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. The family will see friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Temple Christian School, 165 Airport Rd., Rockingham, NC 28379.
