Beulah Ankeney

Mrs. Beulah Frances Maloch Ankeney, 83, formerly of Pleasant Hill Church Road, Ellerbe died Sunday, January 11, 2009 at Britthaven of Hamlet. She was born March 30, 1925 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mattie Dawkins Forbis. Mrs. Ankeney was a homemaker. Mrs. Ankeney had been a resident of Britthaven and Somerset for several years. A Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Ankeney will be conducted privately at Eastside Cemetery in Rockingham. Surviving are a daughter, Sandra Hoover of Ellerbe; a son, Ben Forbis of Hamlet; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mrs. Ankeney was preceded in death by a sister, Viola Carpenter.
