Elsie Webb

Mrs. Elsie Lunceford Webb, 74, of 5579 US Hwy 1 North, Wallace, SC died Saturday, January 24, 2009 at First Health Richmond Memorial Hospital in Rockingham. She was born December 13, 1934 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Will and Hattie Lee Lunceford. Mrs. Webb was a homemaker, having chosen to stay at home with her grandchildren. She had previously worked with Georgia Pacific and Gilead Manufacturing. Mrs. Webb was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 27, 2009 in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham with Rev. Jerry Shaw and Rev. Tommy Gaskins officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:45 to 1:45 pm at the funeral home prior to the service. Surviving is a daughter, Vickie Webb Rummage and husband Daryl of Wallace; two grandchildren, Rodney Rummage and Robbie Rummage, both of Wallace; one great grandson, Ryan Rummage; and three sisters, Colleen Chavis, Grace Chavis, and Ruby Coward, all of Rockingham. Mrs. Webb was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Webb in 1999 and siblings, Mary Gainey, Mattie Lunceford, Will Lunceford, Fairley Lunceford, and John Lunceford.
