Mrs. Faye Wilson Jordan of Ellerbe died peacefully with her family by her bedside at Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst on Thursday, January 29, 2009 after a brief illness. Faye was born June 21, 1940 in Salisbury, NC to the late Clyde and Julia Gaskey Wilson. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ralph Wilson; a sister, Carolyn Carter; and a step grandchild, Andy Jordan. Faye is survived by her husband, Bill; brothers, Clyde (Nancy) Wilson of Summerville, SC, and Donald (Joyce) Wilson of Avon, CT; sisters, Ruth (Nat) Campbell and Yvonne (Glenn) Graham, all of Hamlet, and Nancy (Jim) Pollard of Durham and a number of nieces and nephews. She is also survived by three stepchildren and their spouses, Daryl and Terri Jordan of Rome, GA, Lisa and Hank Bourgeois of Raleigh, and Denane and Darrell Maske of Ellerbe; five step-grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren. Faye was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hamlet, where funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday, February 1, 2009 with Rev. John Pfisterer officiating. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 5 to 7:30 pm at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe and other times at the home 226 Firetower Rd., Ellerbe. Faye worked alongside her husband for many years and also worked at Ellerbe Pharmacy and Ellerbe Springs Inn. She loved people and on her daily visits to Dixie Burger, she knew everyone by name. She will be missed by many people.
