Ruth Lynch Teal

Ruth Elizabeth Lynch Teal, 84, of Hamlet, passed away Wednesday, July 01, 2015 at Hospice Haven in Rockingham. Mrs. Teal was born February 25, 1931 in Darlington County, SC, a daughter of the late Caleb and Daisy Jernigan Lynch. She had been a member of Emmanuel Holiness Church and a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Teal; daughter, Sheila Cagle; grandsons, Travis and Brandon Teal; 3 sisters and 1 brother. Surviving are her children, Teresa Brooks of Rockingham, Dena Thompson of Rockingham, Wendell Teal of Hamlet, Randy Teal of Hamlet, Marlene Bates of Dallas, Christine Malloy of Hamlet, Paul Teal of Stanly, Lisa Schultz of Holden Beach, Beverly Miller of Moore County; 18 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; brothers, Jimmy Lynch of Hamlet, Ray Lynch, Johnny Lynch and Claude Lynch of Rockingham and sister Janie Sue Brigman of Rockingham. A memorial service will be held at 4 pm Friday in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Joe B. Wilkes, Jr and Pastor Eddie McLean officiating. The family will see friends following the service at the funeral home.
