Ann Barrington

Mrs. Ann Safrit Barrington, 72, of 605 Hylan Avenue, Hamlet died Monday, February 2, 2009 at her home. She was born July 7, 1936 in Guilford County, a daughter of the late Arnold and Mildred Meredith King Safrit. Mrs. Barrington was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church in Hamlet. She attended UNC-Greensboro and then the Bowman Gray School as an X-ray technician. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 Wednesday, February 4th at First United Methodist Church in Hamlet with Rev. Adolph Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Mary Love Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall. Surviving is her husband, Richard E. Barrington of the home.
