Grace Oliver Flythe

Mrs. Grace O. Flythe, 80, of Spruce Pine N.C formally of Rockingham died January 30, 2009 at Brian’s Health Rehabilitation Center in Spruce Pine N.C. Mrs. Flythe was born March 18, 1928 in Richmond County a daughter of the late Dewey and Edith Lear Oliver. She was a weaver in the textile industry. She was preceded in death by her husbands Leroy Osborne and C.D. Flythe. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at Carter Funeral Home Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park. She is survived by three daughters, Norma Ramey of Rockingham, Betty Fletcher of Greenwood, Delaware, and Rhonda Chrisawn of Spruce Pine, North Carolina, two sisters Audrey Campbell of Rockingham and Jane Tweed of Charlotte, six grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
