Stanley Ward Gathings

Stanley Ward Gathings, 63, of Rockingham, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center – Union in Monroe. Mr. Gathings was born January 2, 1952 in Richmond County, a son of the late Buddy James and Effie Jane Parker Gathings. He had served his country in the US Army and had been employed with Industrial Air Equipment. Surviving are brothers, Warren Gathings, Jackie Gathings and sisters, Rev. Alice Bond. Sarah Williams and Teresa Rankin. Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Friday at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery in Wallace, SC. The family will see friends from 9:30 – 10:30am Friday at Carter Funeral Home and other times at the home of Rev. Alice Bond.
