Grace Watts Johnson

Mrs. Grace Watts Johnson, 85 of Rockingham Manor died Tuesday February 3, 2009. She was born April 25 1923 a daughter of the late Rev. Ed M. and Rose Ann Lampley Watts. She worked as a cloth mender at J. P. Stevens Mill. Mrs. Johnson attended Harvest Ministries She was preceded in death by her husband James Clay Johnson and a son James Clay Johnson Jr. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Carter Funeral Home Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Gene Alexander, Rev. Donnie Robson, and Rev. Annie Mae Sproles officiating with interment to follow at Mt. Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church cemetery. She is survived by her daughters, Patsy J. Hartman and husband Raleigh, Minnie Lynch both of Rockingham, Rebecca Boger and husband Wade of Asheboro, and Marsha Dale Presnell of High Point. 10 grand children and 18 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home and at other times at her daughters house on Rocky Lane.
