Blanche Shaw

Mrs. Blanche Hunsucker Shaw, 98, of Ellerbe, died Friday, February 20, 2009 at her home. Mrs. Shaw was born April 21, 1910 in Montgomery County, a daughter of the late Ulysses Grant and Emma Dennis Hunsucker. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Thomas H. Shaw, Five brothers Henry, Carson, Clegg, Coley, Shelton Hunsucker and three sisters Geanne Shaw, Veda Russell, Ovelia Hudson. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Ellerbe. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday February 24, 2009 at Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Ellerbe Cemetery. She is survived by 2 nephews, E. G. Hunsucker and wife Berniece, of Ellerbe; Bobby Shaw and wife Susanne, of Florida; 3 great nieces and 1 great nephew and many others. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe and at other times at her home. Memorials may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church Building Fund P.O.
