Gary Lee Allred

Gary Lee Allred, 58 of Ellerbe, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. Gary was born November 26, 1956 in Montgomery County, a son of the late William “Bill” Allred and Lola Reynolds Edwards. He was a member of Exway Baptist Church and had been employed as a truck driver with Dewitt Farms and Perdue. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an aunt, Gus Allred. Surviving are his son, Bill Allred (Emily) of Rockingham; granddaughter, Abigail Allred; brother, Danny Allred ( Robin McPherson) of Ellerbe; sisters, Judy Glover ( Ronnie) of Jackson Springs, Jan Pressley (Danny) of Ellerbe; numerous nieces and nephews and companion, Trish Bernard of Ellerbe. A service to celebrate Gary’s life will be at 2 pm Wednesday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe with Rev. Ric Watford officiating. The family will see friends following the service at the funeral home and at other times at Bill & Emily’s, 106 Grant St. Rockingham.
