Mr. William Perry Bristow, 66, of 927 Montclair Ave., Rockingham died Thursday, March 5, 2009 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. He was born December 20, 1942 in Richmond County, a son of the late Frank and Oneda Matheson Bristow. Mr. Bristow was a member of Cameronian Presbyterian Church. He had thirty-one years of service with J. P. Stevens, which later became Westpoint, and then the Bibb Company. Mr. Bristow, also, served in the United States Air Force. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 pm Sunday, March 8th at Cameronian Presbyterian Church in Rockingham with Rev. Marshall Norris officiating. Interment will follow in Eastside Cemetery with military honors. Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Rachel Bristow of the home; two step-daughters, Penny Harris of Burlington and Patty Ellerbe of Greenwood, SC; two sisters, Pat Millikan and Judy Dockery, both of Rockingham; a brother, Larry Bristow of Manassas, VA; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren; three nephews, Josh Locklear, Joe Locklear, and Lance Bristow, and a young man that was just like a grandson, Bradley Gibson.
