Reginald Thomas Ingram

Reginald “Reggie” Thomas Ingram, 75, of Ellerbe, passed away Saturday November 21, 2015 at Reid Heart Center, Pinehurst, NC. He was born June 17, 1940 in Ellerbe, NC, the son of James M. “Jack” Ingram and Arlene Parsons Ingram. Reggie served in the US Navy aboard the Carrier USS Forrestall from 1958 – 1962. He retired from CSX Railroad in 2002 and was a member of Ellerbe United Methodist Church. Reggie was an avid collector of antiques and loved restoring trunks. Reggie had a unique sense of humor and a love of family and friends. Surviving in addition to his parents, is his wife of 47 years Dorothea Reise Ingram, one daughter Callie Ingram Spitler (Ed), grandsons, Carter Edwin Spitler and Nathan Thomas Spitler; sister Marion Martin(Don); brother Steve Ingram(Dot), Neices Rebecca Ingram Rowe(Cody), Emily Ingram, Kathy Bowman(Carl) and Nephew David Mason. He was preceded in death by a nephew Eddie Warren. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12:45 – 1:45 prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.
