John William Horne

John William Horne, 60, of Wiesbaden, Germany, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015 at his home. John was born June 17, 1955 in Richmond County, a son of Margaret Shepherd Horne and the late William Horne. He had served his country in the United States Army and was an employee of the US Postal Service with the Army in Germany. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his sister, Deborah H. Bowers. Surviving are his wife, Christine Wolf Horne of the home; sons, Jeremy and Anthony Campbell of Rockingham; 6 grandchildren; mother, Margaret S. Horne of Rockingham; brother, Nelson Horne (Debra) of Rockingham and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be at 2 pm Saturday in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham. Interment will be held privately. The family will see friends from 12:45 to 1:45 pm Saturday at the funeral home and at other times at his mother’s home, 1929 Ardsley Road, Rockingham.
