Florine King Odom

Florine King Odom, 93, of Rockingham, passed away Friday, November 27, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Odom was born November 22, 1922 in Granville County, a daughter of the late Elijah and Allie-Lee Mize King. She was a member of Outreach for Jesus and was a homemaker. She loved her family and reading the Bible. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Pete Odom and 2 grandchildren. Surviving are her children, Henry P. Odom, Jr. (Charlotte) of Benton, LA, Linda Poole of Hamlet, Joanne Burns of Hamlet, Elijah C. “Buddy” Odom of Rockingham, Judy Burr (Benja) of Rockingham, Edward W. “Eddie” Odom of Rockingham, Michael R. “Mike” Odom (Debbie) of Laurinburg; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and a sister, Frances Bigford of Hamlet. Funeral services will be at 3 pm Sunday at Outreach for Jesus with Pastor Marvin Taylor officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum of Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will see friends from 1:45 to 2:45 pm Sunday at Outreach for Jesus and at other times at the Burr home, 109 Pinedale Dr., Rockingham.
