Grace Smith Lampley

Mrs. Grace Helen Smith Lampley, 76, of 1 Short St., Rockingham died Saturday, March 14, 2009 at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Lampley was born April 3, 1932 in Richmond County, daughter of the late George and Maude Rogers Smith. She retired from Sara Lee Hosiery as a sewer. Mrs. Lampley was a member of Harvest Ministries Church. She was preceded in death by a brother Perry Smith. Mrs. Lampley is survived by sons Donald, Danny and Jerry Lampley all of Lexington, NC, daughter Tina Lampley of Rockingham, brother David Rogers of Texas, sisters Martha Blount of Lexington, Betsy Ward of Rockingham, 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, March 16, 2009, at Carter Funeral Home Colonial Chapel with Rev Annie Mae Sproles and Rev Donnie Robson officiating. Interment will follow in Northam Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7:00 – 9:00 PM Sunday at Carter Funeral Home and other times at the home.
