Mr. Kent L. Hogan, 62, of 210 National Drive, Pinehurst died Sunday, March 15th at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. He was born November 29, 1946 in Moore County, a son of the late Elsie Vernon and Margaret McLeod Hogan. Mr. Hogan was a member of Norman Methodist Church. He was a businessman and entrepreneur with multiple talents, engaged in starting a number of companies in the steel and paper industries. Mr. Hogan had an interest in electronics and loved to travel. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, March 18th at Norman United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Carpenter and Rev. Dave Hicks officiating. Interment will follow in Norman Cemetery Surviving is his wife, Wilma Hardy Hogan of the home; children, Christine Thomas of Southern Pines, Sonya Duncan of Whispering Pines, Rebecca Colwell of Raleigh, Scott Suddreth of Raleigh, and Elsie Vernon Hogan III of Greensboro; ten grandchildren, Dylan, Tempest, Hanna, Austin, Alex, Will, Eleanor, Nathaniel, Aidan, and James; a brother, Philip Gene Hogan of Norman. Mr. Hogan was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Vernon Hogan. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe.
