Jennifer Wallace Cornwell

Jennifer Wallace Cornwell, 26, of Hickory, formerly of Rockingham, died Monday, March 23, 2009 at Duke University Medical Center in Durham. Jenni was born November 20, 1982 in Richmond County, a daughter of Jim Wallace and the late Marie Speight Wallace. She was a graduate of Richmond Senior High School, Class of 2001, and the University of North Carolina Pembroke. Jennifer taught at Grandview Middle School in Hickory and formerly at Rohanen Junior High School in Rockingham. Surviving are her husband, Josh Cornwell of the home, Father, Jim Wallace of Rockingham, brother, Layne Wallace of Clayton, NC sisters, Judi Wallace of Rockingham and Amy Updike of Bedford, Va and her grandmother, Ruth Speight of Rockingham. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Friday in the Family Life Center of Beverly Hills Baptist Church with Rev. Josh McDowell officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will see friends from 5:00 –8:00 PM Thursday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the Wallace home, 197 Gibson Dr., Rockingham.
