Denise Speight Phillips

Denise Speight Phillips, 57, of Wadesboro and formerly of Rockingham, passed away December 3, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center-Union Carolinas HealthCare System in Monroe. Denise was born January 13, 1958 in Richmond County a daughter of the late Brady Francis and Myrtle Johnson Speight. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son Kevin Griggs. Denise was a homemaker and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are; her daughter Stephanie Griggs Williams(Terry), her grandson, Garrett Wyatt Williams; her granddaughter, Faith Luree Williams; brothers, Brady Douglas(Charity) Speight, John Dayle (Barbara) Speight and two special friends Carolyn G. Smith and Patricia (Toosie) Melton. Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm Sunday in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham with the Reverend Mitchell Roller officiating. Interment will follow in Northam Cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 1:45 – 2:45 pm Sunday at the funeral home, and other times at the home of Stephanie and Terry Williams in Wadesboro.
