James Wesley Polson

James Wesley Polson, 88, of Rockingham, passed away Friday, December 25, 2015 at Hospice Haven in Rockingham. Mr. Polson was born October 5, 1927 in Chesterfield County, SC, a son of the late Grover Cleveland and Mary Ellen English Polson. He had served his country in the US Army, was a member of Ledbetter United Methodist Church, the American Legion and had been employed with Ledbetter Manufacturing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Joyce Polson. Surviving are his daughters, Bonnie Sue Roberts of Concord, Lisa P. Jones of Rockingham; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 6 pm Monday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham with Rev. Lee Griffith officiating. The family will see friends following the service at the funeral home and at other times at 277 Greenlake Road, Rockingham.
