Joey Armstrong Hicks

Joey Armstrong Hicks, 55 of Rockingham passed away Saturday January 2, 2016 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital. Joey was born February 18, 1960 in Italy, he was the son of the late Jack and Pauline Hicks. Joey was a an employee of Vulcan Materials in Rockingham, NC. He will be remembered as a kind and good man. Surviving are his wife, Charla Burris Hicks; stepdaughter, Elizabeth Yarbrough; stepsons, Steven Biby and Chris Baker; a sister Gabby Ussery and five special grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday at Ledbetter United Methodist with Rev. Lee Griffith officiating. Burial will follow in Green Lake United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham.
