Zack Weldon Rainwater

Zack W. Rainwater, 73, of Rockingham, passed away Monday, January 18, 2016 at his home. Mr. Rainwater was born March 31, 1942 in Richmond County, a son of the late Billy W. and Lucy Grice Rainwater. He served his country in the US Navy, was a member of Rockingham VFW Post 4203 and the Moose Lodge. He had been employed with Burlington Industries. Surviving are his son, Brandon Rainwater of Southport; daughters, Wendy Miller of Angier and Jeania Rainwater of Rockingham; 5 grandchildren; brother, Bill Rainwater of Rockingham and sisters, Betty Faye Yates of Cheraw, Charlotte Mitchell of Fairmont, Vivian Freeman and Judy Walters, both of Rockingham. A memorial service will be at 2 pm Thursday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham. The family will see friends following the service at the funeral home.
