Jean Johnson Hollingsworth

Jean Johnson Hollingsworth, 88, of Rockingham, passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 at Pruitt Health in Rockingham. Mrs. Hollingsworth was born October 16, 1927 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Alfred Jack and Ethel Ross Johnson. SHe had retired from Aleo Manufacturing and later worked with Kentucky Fried Chicken. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Hollingsworth. Surviving are her children, Wanda Williams of Dallas, NC, Candy Sharpe of Hamlet, Angela Kempen and Jason McGinnis, both of Lincolnton, NC; 3 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 3 pm Friday at Abundant Life Church with Rev. Joe B. Wilkes officiating. The family will see friends following the service.
