Mr. Johnny Allen Mauldin, 60, of 1159 Boyd Lake Rd., Hamlet died Sunday, April 26, 2009 at First Health Richmond Memorial Hospital. Mr. Mauldin was born June 23, 1948 in Anson County, a son of the late Umster and Margaret Ricketts Mauldin. He was a member of Maple Street Free Will Baptist Church where he had served as a Sunday school assistant. Prior to his disability, he had been employed with the Russell Group Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Friday, May 1, 2009 at Maple Street Free Will Baptist Church with Revs. Mike Rankin, Ray Cribbs, Mike Childers and Royce Honeycutt officiating. Interment will follow at Richmond Memorial Park. Surviving are his wife, JoAnn Reeves Mauldin of the home; a daughter, Tanya Mikeska of Hamlet; two stepdaughters, Karen Lowery of Hamlet, Sharon Brooks of Laurinburg; a stepson, Eugene Reeves of Rockingham, 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; a brother, William Mauldin of Lilesville; three sisters, Ruby Smith, and Libby Pegram , both of Ansonville, Frances Pegram of Lilesville. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday at Maple Street Free Will Baptist Church and other times at the home, 1159 Boyd Lake Rd., Hamlet. Memorials may be made to Maple Street Free Will Baptist Church, 128 Maple St., Rockingham, NC 28379.
