Ethel Lee Bullard Peele, 88, of Rockingham, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family and friends. Ethel was born, December 24, 1927, in Richmond County to the late William Michael and Esther Elberta Mann Bullard. She enjoyed traveling to different countries as well as states. Throughout her life she traveled to 10 different countries and 22 different states. During her travels, Ethel has accomplished being a; Member of King’s Gate Church since around 1982, being a Holy Ghost filled prayer warrior, Sunday School Teacher, choir member, Elder of King’s Gate Church, Member of King’s Gate Senior Citizen Luncheon, President of the Woman’s Aglow of Richmond County, Red Hatter’s Club, Member of the East Rockingham Senior Citizens Volley Ball Club and the Never Grow Old Band which is a part of the East Rockingham Senior Citizens Center. She was preceded in death by her two sons Roger and Lewis Jr. She is survived by a son, Michael Eugene Kelly (Jennie), a brother Eugene Bullard (Rachel), grandchildren Amy White (Troy), Emily Kingston (Kevin), Keri Campbell (Dustin), Jennifer Ethridge (Joshua) and Kimberly Kelly (Marcus), 11 great grandchildren and spiritual daughters, Alice Locklear, Rebeca Boyle and Liz Hamer. Funeral services will be held 3pm Wednesday at Kings Gate Church with Rev. Eddie McLean officiating. Interment will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park. Family will receive friends and family from 6-8pm on Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home.
