Geneva Greene Webb

Mrs. Geneva Greene Webb, 84, of 143 Wilderness Dr., Mt. Gilead, formerly of Ellerbe, died Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at her home. Mrs. Webb was born March 5, 1925 in Montgomery County, a daughter of the late M.A. and Mollie Macon Greene. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Ellerbe, currently attended Blackwood Chapel Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Her husband, W.Z. “Bill” Webb and a son, Roger Webb preceded her in death. Surviving are daughters, Barbara Blake of Mt. Gilead, Katie Tyson of Ellerbe; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother, James Greene of Ellerbe; and sister, Josephine Parsons of Mt. Gilead. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at Blackwood Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Gary McNeill and Rev. James Watson officiating. Interment will follow in the Chappell Cemetery in Ellerbe. The family will see friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe and at other times at the Tyson home, 340 Grey Fox Rd. Ellerbe.
