Richard Mills Richard Furman Mills, 81, of 201 Ledbetter Street, Cordova, NC, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital. Richard was born August 22, 1934 in Ellerbe, NC. He was a son of the late Vance and Alma Mills. Surviving are sons, Wayne Mills of Rockingham, Doug Mills of Cordova, daughter, Francis Garner of Seagrove, sisters, Avis Bowman of Hoffman, Judy Shepard of Rockingham, Becky Lowry of Tennessee, grandchildren, Southern, Savennah, Shyann, Beth, Shalah, Clarrissa, Julia, Amanda, Richard and Vance Mills, Katie and Thomas Garner and 9 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 11 am Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham. Family will receive friends from following the service.
