Tammy Lynn McKenzie

Tammy Lynn McKenzie, 48, of Rockingham, NC passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016 at her home. Tammy was born June 7, 1967 in Scotland County a daughter of John Wilson Yates and Shirley Jowers Yates. Tammy was a CNA at Pruitt health. She was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Weatherford and a sister, Sherry Ponds. Surviving are her husband, Jackie McKenzie; sons, Josh Weatherford, Trey McKenzie, Hunter McKenzie; and her parents John and Shirley Yates. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at Abundant Life Church. Burial will follow in Hamlet Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Abundant Life Church.
