Charles Rush Maske, 82, of 2217 Rosemont Ln, Rockingham, died Monday, May 04, 2009 at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital in Rockingham. Mr. Maske was born January 31, 1927 in Richmond County, a son of the late Leo Claude and Viola Rush Maske. He was a member of West Rockingham United Methodist Church where he was a Sunday School teacher, member of the choir and had held numerous offices over the years. Mr. Maske was a graduate of Rockingham High School and attended High Point Business College. He was co owner, along with his brother and sisters, of Economy Auto Supply. For over 50 years he ran the clock for football games at Rockingham High School and Richmond Senior High School. His wife, Geneva Davis Maske preceded him in death in 2005. Survivng are his son, Greg Maske of Rockingham; his daughter, Debbie Price and husband Don of Rockingham ; 2 grandchildren Jordan Price, Jessica Price and fiancé Dereck Martin; brother Jimmy Maske of Rockingham; sisters, Hilda Langley of Rockingham, Doris McCall of Landis, NC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday at West Rockingham United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Williams and Rev. Don Dawkins officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will see friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home on Rosemont Lane.
