Moses Lee Bennett

Moses Bennett Moses Lee Bennett, 83, of Ellerbe, passed away at his home on Saturday, April 9, 2016 surrounded by his family. Moses was born February 24, 1933 in Stokes county a son of the late James Rotha Bennett and Mamie Bullins Bennett. Moses worked in textiles as a weaver. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, James Snyder Bennett, James Bennett Jr, Russell Bennett, Otis Wayne Bennett, and his sisters Naomi Eanes and Nancy Mabe. Surviving are his wife, Katie Thomason Bennett, a son Kenneth Lee Bennett, brother Ronnie Bennett of Windblow, and a special nephew Don Eanes of Rockingham. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe. The family will receive friends from 12:45 – 1:45 pm at the funeral home.
